Full Process · Five Phases, Start To Handoff

How your project actually gets built, phase by phase.

No black box between "kickoff call" and "here's your invoice." This is the exact sequence every DesignrPros project follows — what happens in each phase, what we need from you, and how long it takes.

The five phases

Click any phase to see what happens, what you'll receive, and what we need from you.

01SURVEY

Site Survey

Week 1 · 3–5 Business Days +

What Happens

A working call about your business, your customers, and what your competitors are doing online. We audit your existing site if you have one, and identify what's actually costing you leads.

You'll Receive

  • Written scope of work
  • Fixed project price
  • Project timeline with milestones

We Need From You

  • 60-minute discovery call
  • Access to any existing site/analytics
  • A short list of sites you like
02DESIGN

Schematic Design

Weeks 1–2 · 5–7 Business Days +

What Happens

We draft wireframes and a visual direction — layout, color, typography — and walk you through it before a single line of code is written. This is the cheapest, fastest point to make changes.

You'll Receive

  • Homepage & key page wireframes
  • Visual design concept (desktop + mobile)
  • Two rounds of revisions

We Need From You

  • Logo & brand assets, if you have them
  • Photos of your work or team
  • Written feedback within 3 business days
03BUILD

Framing

Weeks 2–4 · 10–14 Business Days +

What Happens

The structural build: every page gets built out, functionality gets wired up — forms, booking, e-commerce if it's in scope — and your content goes in. The site starts standing on its own.

You'll Receive

  • A private staging link to follow along
  • Mid-build progress check-in
  • All core pages functional

We Need From You

  • Final copy & content
  • Domain/DNS access if applicable
  • Sign-off on functionality tested
04FINISH

Finish Work

Week 4 · 4–5 Business Days +

What Happens

The trim-and-paint stage: micro-animations, copy tightening, speed optimization, mobile QA across real devices, and cross-browser checks. This is where the site goes from "built" to "polished."

You'll Receive

  • Performance & speed report
  • Mobile/tablet/desktop QA pass
  • One round of final revisions

We Need From You

  • Final review & approval
  • Any last content corrections
  • Confirmed go-live date
05HANDOFF

Punch List & Handoff

Week 5 · 2–3 Business Days +

What Happens

Final walk-through of every page, launch to your live domain, and a recorded screen-share showing you how to update your own site. You get the keys, not a dependency on us.

You'll Receive

  • Live website on your domain
  • CMS training video & login
  • 30-day post-launch support window

We Need From You

  • Final DNS/domain sign-off
  • Attendance at handoff walkthrough
  • Nothing else — you're live

What we need from you

The materials that keep the schedule on track — gather these before Phase 01 to move fastest.

1

Logo & brand assets

Existing logo files, brand colors, or fonts. If you don't have these yet, we'll develop them in Phase 01.

2

Photos of your work

Job-site photos, product shots, or team photos — real images outperform stock every time.

3

Written content

Service descriptions, pricing if public, and any copy you already have. We can also write it for you.

4

Domain & DNS access

Login to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) so we can point it at the new site at launch.

5

Customer testimonials

A few quotes or Google reviews from past customers — social proof does real work on a landing page.

6

Existing accounts

Google Business Profile, social handles, and any CRM or booking tool you already use, so we can connect them.

Questions about the process

What clients usually ask before kicking off a project.

Can the project timeline be rushed?

+

Sometimes. Rush timelines are possible for Foundation-level projects with a scope surcharge, but Standard and Custom builds need the full sequence — skipping phases is usually what causes rework later.

How many revisions are included at each phase?

+

Two rounds of feedback are included at Schematic Design and one round after Finish Work. Additional rounds are billed hourly, but most projects stay within the included rounds because feedback happens early, at the wireframe stage.

What do I need to provide before the project starts?

+

Logo files if you have them, any existing brand colors, photos of your work, customer testimonials if available, and access to your domain registrar. We can help source or create anything you don't have.

What happens if I don't respond during a review phase?

+

The schedule pauses. We hold your project slot for two weeks; after that we may need to reschedule Framing to fit other clients' timelines, so quick turnaround on reviews keeps things on track.

Do you offer support after Punch List & Handoff?

+

Yes. Every project includes a set period of free minor fixes after launch, and ongoing maintenance plans are available month-to-month after that.
